portrait stencil card

I am soooo excited to share this special handmade card with you guys. This is the first portrait card that we made. My subject, one of my most beautiful friends who celebrated her special day this July. I say one of the most beautiful 'coz I don't want my other beautiful friends to be jealous! LOL. Here she is! A very fine and smart lady!
Portrait Stencil Card Step 1

For the first step, as shown above, my husband used an online application to transform the picture to a stencil pattern. This has been printed on the card itself. This is very helpful for people that cannot really draw portraits like me =)
The second stop will be removing the black parts of the picture using a cutter I think made to be used for stencils. I added a simple R lettering on the upper left of the portrait. R is the first letter of her name.

After finishing the cutting part, the final step is to place a glittered paper at the back of the picture to have the effect of a stencil.
Portrait Stencil Card Step 3
I have enjoyed doing this card because I know that my gorgeous friend will love it. And thank God she did! This card may not justify her beauty, but definitely, this justified my love for her.

By the way, this is the first portrait card that we did but this is the second stencil card that we did. Here's a picture of our tinker bell stencil card from my first blog post:
